Nanning TV Station, located in NO.25 Gecun Road “the Broadcasting TV Center building” ，Nanning City Guangxi Province, was found in 1985 and began to broadcast programs on 10th September 1985. Nanning TV Station and Nanning Broadcasting TV Bureau are incorporated in system that they are led unified but responsible for different work. There are two departments, three workrooms, four channels and one center in Nanning TV Station, those are advertisement department, program department, editor-in-chief office, teleplay workroom, documentary workroom, news comprehensive channel, city life channel, movie and entertainment channel, public channel and technology center, with more than 250 staff in all.

Nanning TV Station has set up nearly 30 self-made programs from its foundation till now. In 2003 we have broadcasted programs for 867 hours and the totally program time is 18,615 hours in the whole year. The programs in four channels of Nanning TV Station can cover a circle with a radius as 100 km. and 8,000,000 audiences, in the mean while we also have 250,000 cable television networks users and the population reaches 1,200,000 audiences.

The Broadcasting TV Center building, which is invested more than a hundred million, with an area of 25,000 square meters and 23 floors, provides Nanning TV Station a good opportunity for developing. Nanning TV Station is the mainstream media in Guangxi in issuing news, at the same time its programs are popular with local audiences since 1985, and the programs have obtained all sorts of awards in Guangxi even in China, nearly one hundred programs have been awarded nationally, 300 programs have been rewarded provincially, and a great deal of works have got the honor for “Five Excellent’s Project Award ” “Gold Eagle Award” “Courser Award” “Starlight Award” and “Five Excellent’s Project in Guangxi”. And a great number of programs are broadcasted by CCTV and international TV station networks overseas.

The four channels in Nanning TV Station provide all together 69 hours and 45 minutes wonderful programs every day to audiences both in Nanning city and suburb area and the self-made programs last for 7 hours and 12 minutes. The yearly average audience rate of “ Nanning News” reaches 4.8%; “Night News” reaches 2.8% ; “Investigation” reaches 2.69% ; and “Story” reaches 2.66% and these programs are very popular with Nanning common audience.
